FRP grating is a one-piece fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP)
grating. Fiberglass grating is made with an integral anti-slip and
draw, which has a high strength-to-weight ratio. The interwoven
construction gives it tremendous strength, and the cross bars with
bearing bars serves to transfer part of load to other portions.
FRP walkway sometimes also called FRP catwalk, it is widely used in
metal roof project. The normal size used for PV roof walkway is
38mm*38mm, height is 25mm or 30mm, color is yellow or grey.
It has excellent corrosion resistance to acid, alkali, organic
solvent, salt and many other gas and liquid media. In theory, its
service life is more than 20 years and compressive strength is
100Mpa. The light weight will not cause a great burden on the roof,
it can well meet the needs of construction personnel walking on it,
so that the workers do not need to directly trample on the roof and
causing the risk of roof damage.
In later operation and maintenance period, inspectors can also
stand directly on the walkway to check the PV modules and
structures.
The length of the walkway can be customized according to project
demands, but not longer is better, we also need to consider the
shipping. Anyway, walkway is a very important auxiliary
